The engines turn on at the Slovakia Ring track today for the first Free Practice of the 3rd Round Champions of the Future, the Series which takes place over 5 rounds on the tracks that host the FIA Karting events. The weekend will therefore be tackled according to the next round of the FIA European OK and OK Junior Championship scheduled on this track on June 23rd.

The CRG Racing Team will once again be one of the biggest and most competitive teams with 13 drivers between the two categories: Michael Ider, Tom Dussol, Jakub Rajski, Santino Panetta, Markas Silkunas, Guillaume Bouzar, Mark Dubnitski, Louis Iglesias and Gabriel Gomez in OK, plus Francois Kerdal, Manuel Miguez, Asher Ochstein and Mats Van Rooijen in OKJ. Among these drivers, however, it is worth saying that the presence of Gabriel Gomez, currently in P3 in the provisional Championship standings in the OK category, is not yet certain, as the Brazilian driver suffered a hand injury in training and will only decide at the last minute whether to take part in the event or not.

The track will be new for all the teams and drivers, so there will be many variables in this first weekend with the international categories on track. Obviously the priority will be work on the setup, but the drivers will also need time to find the right feeling with a very technical layout which has the prerogative of turning anti-clockwise.

The event program will see the first official feedback from the track on Friday with the Qualifying Practice, followed by the Heats which will continue on Saturday and Sunday morning with the Super Heats, which will define the starting grids for the Finals.

Live Timing and Live Streaming will be available to follow the event on the official website: https://www.championskarting.com
