This weekend, Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd March, the Cremona circuit in Italy will host the 8th edition of the 24 Hours Karting of Italy. Once again the event organized by CRG promises to be one of the most spectacular at an international level dedicated to Rental Kart.
There will be 42 teams and around 230 drivers from 11 different nations competing on the track for the two titles up for grabs: Silver and Pro. 29 professional crews who will have to respect the rule of 30 driver changes, while the teams competing for the Silver Trophy (reserved for more amateur teams) will be 13. Among the teams attending the race, 3 of them come from China, 1 from Macao, 2 from Turkey, one from Great Britain, 3 from the Czech Republic and, like last year, an official Red Bull team from Austria will also be in the Entry List.
The pride of the event will be the use of a fleet of new CRG Centurion Rental Karts equipped with high-performance Honda 390cc engines, which will be assigned to the teams by drawing lots. The event regulation do not provide for kart changes and the teams will have to bring the drawn kart to the finish line, managing it as best they can within the 24 hours of the race, a prerogative that will be an integral part of the strategy and the result obtained on the track. If technical problems arise, however, each team will have the opportunity to change the kart a maximum of 2 times without incurring penalties.
The media response will also be important, with the long Live Streaming that will be broadcast on the CRG YouTube channel and on the social media channels of CRG and of the event itself. A TV studio will be set up for interviews with the protagonists and the action on the track will be followed with all the updates on the rankings. Live Streaming will end with the two podiums scheduled for Sunday at 2.30 PM. Regarding the program, it is worth saying that Free Practice and the Super Pole will take place on Saturday morning, while the start of the race is scheduled for 2.00 PM after the choreographic Drivers Parade.
It will be the first time for a 24 hour karting event on the Cremona circuit, a new track that offers great comforts to the teams, including the brick pit structure. Two giant screens will also be set up on the track to follow the race and Live Timing will be active from the Free Practice on. This spectacular event will be a great Rental Kart celebration and to get all the updates from the track we invite all enthusiasts to follow the CRG Factory social media channels and the official 24 Hours Karting of Italy event account on Instagram and FB.
