The third round of four in the FIA Karting European Championship at Mülsen, Germany, has come to an end, and the CRG Racing Team once again confirmed a strong performance level in both categories. Despite a challenging weekend marked by intermittent rain that affected track conditions throughout the event, CRG remained competitive in all situations. In particular, Asher Ochstein stood out in the OK category, securing a strong P2 in qualifying. He delivered solid heat performances and lined up on the front row for Sunday morning’s Super Heat. Unfortunately, the final day did not go his way, as he was involved in a contact incident both in the Super Heat and later again in the Final. In the premier class, Viktor Gustafsson also showed strong pace, consistently running at the front throughout the weekend before being caught up in an incident during the Final.

Positive speed indicators also came from the OK-Junior category, where Iason Kosmopoulos remained consistently among the front-runners, while Samuel Hugon showed steady improvement in performance across the weekend. Alongside the CRG drivers, the Kalì Kart drivers also delivered strong performances, with Davide Bottaro consistently running within the leading group in OK, and Julian Rivera showing solid form in OK-Junior.

The mid-season technical assessment was provided by CRG Team Principal Jeremy Iglesias:

“The main objective of a factory team in international competition is to demonstrate competitiveness, because the performance we achieve at this level is the strongest guarantee for our customers worldwide that they are buying a potentially race-winning chassis. Our KT2 chassis with 30mm tubing is versatile and fast on every circuit, and this is the most important message we can pass on to our national markets, where our direct-drive categories must perform in one-make series and the most common national championships. The know-how we gain in international racing and through benchmarking against the world’s leading manufacturers allows us to transfer all the experience from this extremely high level of competition into our production line. Winning races and championships requires many factors to align, and we are getting closer to that goal, but being consistently competitive across every type of circuit has been a constant strength this season. I also want to credit TM Racing for the excellent work they are doing and the trackside support they provide. With TM we share several commercial objectives, and we know how important international results are to promote both of our products. Now we look ahead with the aim of converting our potential in the OK categories into strong results, and of course the main target of the season will be the FIA Karting World Championship OK in November.”
