The WSK events are back on the Lonato track with the first round of the Euro Series from 14th to 17th July this weekend. For the CRG Racing Team it will be an excellent opportunity to work on the home track with all 4 categories there: Mini, OK Junior, OK and KZ. In fact, both the shifter and direct drive classes are approaching their most important event: the FIA World Championship. As for the KZ categories, this event is scheduled at Le Mans in France on the weekend of September 5th, while the OK and OK Junior classes will compete for the title in Sarno on September 18th. The WSK Euro will take place over 2 appointments, the first this weekend as mentioned above, while the 2nd and final one is scheduled on the Sarno track on 31st July.

The CRG Racing Team has planned an intense weekend of work from a technical point of view, but this important meeting will also be an opportunity to train for the drivers. With regard to the line up, it is worth saying that Simone Bianco is back with the team in the OK class from this weekend and will attend the entire program of races with the CRG squad leading up to the FIA World Championship in Sarno. A few debuts in Mini kart, where alongside Oliver Rasmussen, Antonio Macedo and Jagrat Detroja will also make their debut with CRG. We will see the largest group of CRG drivers in action in KZ where Jeremy Iglesias, Alex Irlando, Viktor Gustavsson, Paavo Tonteri, Brandon Nilsson and Jorge Pescador will be racing there.

The program of the event respects the usual WSK format with free practice on Thursday, followed by qualifying practice and the first heats on Friday, Saturday will be entirely dedicated to the qualifying heats, while on Sunday will take place the Pre-Finals and the Finals. CRG drivers’ expectations

Jeremy Iglesias (KZ): “This race is an excellent opportunity to try out some chassis and engine solutions in view of the World Championship in September and all of us drivers also need to get into the best shape for this month. Obviously, our goal will also be to achieve a good result which, for various reasons, we have missed this year”.

Simone Bianco (OK): “I am very happy to be back with the CRG team: with this team I have made my entire journey from Mini to OK Junior and I have an excellent feeling with all the technical staff. After the parenthesis made with a private team at a time when I needed a smaller context to gain experience in OK, now I feel much more ready and able to work in such an organized and complex team as a Factory Team. Knowing everyone helps me a lot and already after a day of testing I felt at home. We have planned a program of races and tests to prepare for the World Championship in Sarno and I am very focused on this goal: I want to be prepared, both as a driver and with good technical support regarding the chassis-engine package “.

Oliver Rasmussen (MINI): “In the last few months I have competed in national races obtaining many successes with CRG technical material and I can’t wait to get back and race against the best drivers in this category here in WSK. I will take part in both races of the Euro Series and I will try to do my best to get a positive result. We know we have great potential and I am very determined to give the best of myself”.
