International Karting will make a stop in Spain at the Circuito Internacional Zuera, where from 29th April to 1st May is scheduled the 2nd round of the FIA European Championship for the OK and OK Junior categories.
After the opening event that took place in Portugal, the Spanish race in Zuera will precede the last two events scheduled in Sweden and Italy, better defining the values out there in the two direct drive categories. As regards the importance, this Championship is second only to the World Championships and for many drivers it represents a stepping-stone towards professionalism in motorsport. Also for the teams and constructors it is one of the most strategic showcases, all preconditions that make the show on the track and the level of competition very high.
The CRG official team confirms the line up with 6 drivers in this second round of the season: 4 in the OK class and 2 in the OK Junior. Eyes on the home driver Adrian Malheiro in the OK top class, but also the two Brazilians Olin Galli and Gabriel Gomez aim to do well, together with Viktor Gustafsson. The team lined up by CRG is very competitive, aiming for the best sporting result, but also of continuing the constant technical development work carried out by the racing department for the company. In this sense, the experience of the drivers is essential to ensure adequate feedback to the technicians.
After the positive weekend 15 days ago in the Champions of the Future race, the South African Nikolas Roos has many ambitions in the Junior category and the Portuguese Francisco Macedo has also shown an excellent feeling with the Spanish track.
As for the event program, Thursday will be the day dedicated to free practice and from Friday the competition will begin with qualifying and the first heats. The Finals are scheduled for Sunday afternoon and will be broadcast in Live streaming on the website www.fiakarting.com
