This weekend from 28th September to 2nd October the engines of the International Mini, OK Junior, OK Senior and KZ2 classes will start again on the Lonato track, where the WSK Open Cup will be awarded in a single-round. This is an important appointment, which comes immediately after the two FIA World Championships: the KZ one that took place in Le Mans and the OK and OK Junior one held in Sarno.

It will therefore be the first event in terms of 2023 for the teams and the drivers, as the races and the Trophies at the end of the year allow you to start planning the work from a technical point of view, with regard to the next season.

The Lonato track is basically the home track for CRG, which has its headquarters just 2 km away from the circuit. For this reason, the CRG Racing Team will take part in the event with a significant number of drivers, starting with the new KZ World Champion Viktor Gustaffsson. The Swedish driver will be joined in KZ by Jeremy Iglesias, Paavo Tonteri, Natalia Balbo and Andrea Bosetto. In the OK category, Simone Bianco and Gabriel Gomez will defend the CRG colors, while in OK Junior it will be Scott Lindblom and Michael Ider to get on the track. Finally, for what concerns the Mini category CRG will line-up a couple with great ambitions made up of Oliver Rasmussen and Cristian Blandino.

The race program will start as usual on Friday with Qualifying Practice and the first Heats, which will then continue throughout the day on Saturday. On Sunday the Pre-Finals and Finals are scheduled to award the Open Cup Trophy.

Over 220 drivers and many of the most important international karting teams are expected; it will be a wonderful opportunity to go to the track to follow a great show live. For those who cannot be there, it will be possible to follow the action on the track with Live Timing throughout the weekend and Live Streaming for the final day on Sunday on the WSK website. CRG fans, as usual, will also be able to access exclusive content by following the event also on the Factory’s social media channels.
