The 2nd Round of the WSK Super Master Series is scheduled for this weekend on the Franciacorta circuit. Although the 4 usual categories of the WSK meetings (KZ, OK, OKJ and MINI) will be competing, this event will be the first opportunity for the drivers of the OK Junior and OK categories to work in view of the World Championship, scheduled right here at Franciacorta track in October. There will be many occasions to get back to the Lombard track this year, but none of the top teams in the direct drive classes have missed this first opportunity of the season to gain experience. It will therefore be a weekend where the sporting contents and the search for the best performance will also be balanced by the work that the technicians and drivers will carry out on the chassis and engines, according to the characteristics of the track.

Obviously the entry lists of the OK and OK Junior classes will be almost complete, but also in KZ and in the MINI category there will be many drivers attending the race and the show will certainly be of a high level. For the CRG Racing Team, the category with the highest number of drivers will be the OK one, where alongside Gabriel Gomez, Simone Bianco and Mattia Colnaghi, who were also racing in the 1st Round of Lonato, Louis Iglesias, Nikolas Roos and Filippo Fiorentino will also join the team for their seasonal debut. The OK Junior class will see the debut with the CRG colours of Giulio Miranda, who will join Michael Ider, Klara Kowalczyk and Oliver Rasmussen. The MINI team will also be complete for the CRG Team with Luuk Taal, Cristian Blandino, Asher Ochstein, Bruno Blanco and Achille Rea, while in KZ Bruno Mulders will continue his apprenticeship with the team.

The weekend program will be the usual one of the WSK meetings with Qualifying Practice and the first Heats on Friday, Saturday entirely dedicated to the Heats and the Pre-Finals and Finals scheduled for Sunday. The weather is expected to be good throughout the weekend and it will certainly be an exciting event to follow, live on the track or through the live timing and live streaming on the WSK official website.

CRG drivers’ expectations:

Nikolas Roos (OK): “It will be my first race of the season this weekend, so my main goal will be to gain experience in the new category and look for all those race automations that are not easily replicable in winter testing. I’m happy that the weather conditions will be stable, because my greatest need is to do km and experience and this weekend is important in this sense. Obviously the kilometers covered on this track this year also have an important validity in relation to the World Championship in October”.

Mattia Colnaghi (OK): “One of the priority objectives for my season will be the World Championship here in Italy, so every race on this track means for me an opportunity to get ready for that event, especially from a driving point of view. It’s a technical, complete track, I really like it and I want to get to have an excellent feeling with the lines, but also from a technical point of view, all the data we collect will be the basis for preparing for the World Championship. Obviously I would like to be able to fight in the top ten and I think it is absolutely within our possibilities”.
